Chrissy Fitchett graduated with a degree in Photography and Culture & Politics from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015. For eight years, Chrissy was the Associate Director of Baltimore Youth Film Arts at Johns Hopkins University, which offers young adults collaborative learning opportunities in lens-based storytelling. Her work considers ideas of family structure, generational connections to land and knowledge, and issues of political and social marginalization such as forced migration, ecological displacement, and gender inequity.  Her recent photographic series explores narratives of permanence and transformation through the natural features of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.  Chrissy is currently based in Honolulu, Hawai’i, where she is pursuing her MA in Geography and Environment at University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.
